Innovacorp Announces i3 Technology Start-Up Competition

Innovacorp has announced a call for entries to the i3 (Idea, Innovation, Implementation) Technology Start-up Competition to find and support high-potential early stage knowledge-based companies and encourage entrepreneurial activity across Nova Scotia. The contest is open to start-up businesses focused on a new, unique technology product and/or service that cannot be easily duplicated where the applicant is a 51% or more majority owner and has established a business in Nova Scotia.

The competition has award packages consisting of:

• $100,000 in cash and in-kind business services to the first place winners in each of 5 zones
• $40,000 in cash and in-kind business services to the second place winners in each of 5 zones
• $100,000 in an Innovacorp seed investment to the first place provincial winner, who will be selected from the first place winners in each of the 5 zones
