There are a number of key eligibility criteria that are necessary for a company and project to qualify for the Ontario Interactive Digital Media (OIDMTC) program. TSI's knowledgeable consultants can quickly guide you through these criteria to determine if you are eligible to apply. A snapshot of some of the criteria includes the following:
Company eligibility criteria
- The OIDMTC applicant must be a Canadian corporation developing the eligible product at a permanent Ontario establishment.
Product eligibility criteria
- The product must be completed before you can apply for the OIDMTC program
- The product must be a digital media product and must be interactive (whereby the user can choose what information is to be presented and the form /sequence in which it is presented)
- The product must be developed 90% or more in Ontario and 90% or more by the applicant.
- The product’s primary purpose must be to educate, inform, or entertain.
- The product must achieve its primary purpose by presenting information in at least two of text, sound, or image formats.
- The product must not be used primarily for interpersonal communication
- The product must not be used primarily to present, promote or sell the products or services of your company
